Diablo Sea Bears – May 2007 Newsletter
The meeting was called to order about 7:30pm by President, Tom P. Those present were Tom, Walt, Craig, Linda and Caitlin, Kathy, Dan and Jeri, Roger and Nancy, Bob and Judy, Richard, Ben, Tozzi, Kevin and Margie.
A correction to last months newsletter, the award given to JB was the “Bear Ass Award.”
Safety Officer Roger mentioned how important it is for divers to be careful when diving the Mendicino coast. There have already been 6 divers lost this year.
Webmaster Kevin told members present about a contact our website had from the Ocean’s Foundation wanting to come to our meeting and do a presentation. At present, the membership was not interested at this time.
As a reminder to all members, dues are due to Doris P. as soon as possible.
To any members who wanted to go for the Memorial Day Weekend, remember to make your reservations. We’ll be in section C.
Storage charges at Albion are $75.00 per month and the management only asks that you use your trailer at least once a month.
Richard told everyone that the water had been tested at Albion and they recommend that everyone boil their water or even better, bring bottled water. Also, there is a quarantine on muscles until the end of October.
To all those members who we haven’t seen, we hope everyone is doing well and that we see you at our next meeting, Wednesday, June 6th.
